You’re here to do something real—something that reaches beyond you. You feel it every time you wake up with that quiet ache and thought: there’s more than this.
Maybe you’re the kind of person who’s always been intuitive, creative, or multidimensional. You can weave stories, design beauty from chaos, create structure where no one else can, or see energy move in a room—but somehow, your current work or where you are in life doesn’t reflect the fullness of what you’re here to do.
Take my client, for example: she came to me exhausted, working behind the scenes in corporate as a copywriter. When in fact, she was a brilliant storyteller meant to connect with people directly. And the deeper reason she was born with that gift was to offer ancestral healing through it. So she wasn’t entirely off track working as a copywriter. She was just what I call purpose adjacent.
And that’s where so many of us find ourselves: Close to the thing we came here to do, but not quite living it.
The Creative Who Couldn’t Land
Throughout my life, I’ve been many things: artist, teacher, designer, writer and editor. Give me a medium, and I’ll make something beautiful from it. But for years, nothing I built seemed to stick. It would take off for a moment, then fade.
I knew mindset played a role; I’d done the shadow work, the money healing, all of it. But still, I could feel something missing. So as an intuitive with a deep connection to my guides, of course, I asked them about it. Given that I had arrived at a place where I could actually receive the answer, which is important to note, I heard, “You’ve forgotten the spiritual component.”
And that moment changed everything for me.
Finding the Missing Ingredient
Once I understood that message, I could see it clearly: spirituality wasn’t just part of my purpose—it was the container holding it all together. Without it, I could create beautiful things, yes. But they wouldn’t last, because they weren’t anchored in the deeper truth of who I am.
That’s what being purpose adjacent looks like. You’re using your gifts, but not from the perspective of which they were intended. You’re close but not yet aligned with your true essence. And when that’s the case, things can feel anywhere from fine but limited, to frustratingly temporary and full of obstacles designed to realign you.
It’s not because you’re failing. It’s because your soul is ready for expansion, and it won't let you rest until you reach that next level, because you’re meant to bring more of who you are into what you do.
Spirituality was my missing ingredient, and it's your job to find your missing ingredient too.
The Cost of Survival Mode
For many of us, the disconnection starts as survival. We follow the rules, pay the bills, take care of everyone else. We trade inspiration for security because we’re told it’s the smart thing to do. But survival mode slowly numbs your creativity. You stop asking what you want and start asking what’s safe. And eventually you fall into the trap of waiting for freedom instead of creating it—thinking that if you just make more money, you'll have more time and the freedom to do what you want. For some people that works. But for many of us, it's ass-backwards, because it's our joy, creativity and essence that opens doors and leads to abundance, so we have to put it first.
When we don’t, we chip away at our intuition until we no longer trust it. We shut down possible opportunities until we no longer align with them, and often don’t even see them. Little by little, we place ourselves on a path we were never meant to be on, until we are dissatisfied with the life we’ve settled for and unsure how to change it.
Reconnection Is Remembering Who You Are
Reconnection isn’t about finding your purpose—it’s about remembering it. It’s about coming home to what has always been there. When you do, the path reveals itself. The effort softens. You stop chasing and start listening. And that’s when the magic returns, because you move closer and closer to your true self—the one that existed before fear, expectations, and survival strategies took over.
The more you remember, the more life responds accordingly. Inspiration and opportunities arise everywhere. And you build trust and confidence in your inner knowing to guide you where you’re meant to be.
